whimsee
for forests, gardens, reserves & visitor places

a trail of wonder across your land

If you steward a place, Whimsee lets you lay a branded trail of little discoveries across it. Your visitors wander to them by feel, warmer and colder, on the phones already in their pockets. Each stop is a glimmer you placed: a story, a detail worth noticing, a moment that makes your land linger in the memory.

no app to ask your visitors to download

Most trails ask a visitor to stop in the car park, on one bar of signal, and install an app for a walk they will do once. Whimsee is one gentle app people already carry from place to place, so there is nothing for your visitors to download at the gate. They simply wake your trail and wander.

And Whimsee is already alive out in the world: wanderers leave little glimmers wherever they roam, perhaps already across your land. A lantern is the version that carries your name, your stories and your season, on the ground you know best.

why run a trail

a reason to visit, and to return

  • A new reason to visit, and to return. A seasonal trail gives people something fresh to come back for.
  • A deeper bond with your place. Wonder discovered on foot is remembered. Your stories land where they belong, out on the land itself.
  • Your identity, carried through. The trail wears your name and logo, so it feels like yours, because it is.
  • Gentle by nature. No feed, no noise, no data selling. It fits a place that cares about the wild.
a quiet idea

the sign you never nail up

A glimmer can carry everything an interpretation board would, without the post, the plastic, or the clutter across a view. Instead of bolting a sign to a fragile place, leave the story as a glimmer a visitor finds right where it matters, then takes away with them.

At a historical site, a spot can hold the extra context there was never room for on the plaque: the tale behind a ruin, who once stood here, what the stones remember. Wonder, not signage.

how it works

author it, light it, let them wander

  1. 1Author your trail. In our workshop, you define your area and place each glimmer on the map, an ordered walk or scattered finds, carrying your branding.
  2. 2Print a lantern. We give you a code and a QR to put at your welcome desk or gate. A visitor scans it, and your trail wakes for them. The glow lasts as long as you choose.
  3. 3They wander. Visitors follow the warm and cold to each glimmer on their own phone, finding and keeping your wonders as they go.
what you learn

a picture of how your place was wandered

At the end of a season we give you a simple report: how many people wandered, which glimmers drew them out, where they lingered and where they walked on. It is the quiet proof that a good day out is otherwise hard to measure.

Always counts and patterns, never a named person. Yours to keep, and yours to use in your own funding applications, where a picture of real visitors moving through real places carries weight.

Whimsee never charges the wanderer, and it never will, and there are no adverts anywhere on your land. run a paid day of your own with a trail inside it if you like, but the wander itself stays free. a partnership is how your place gets its own branded trail; what no one can ever buy is a way to outrank another, because whimsee has no feed to game.a promise we keep. sea x
