Somewhere near you, a stranger will leave a spark of hope. Whimsee is the walk to it. I made it, and this is one of my walks.

what i was walking toward

a glimmer is a cue of safety

A tiny moment that tells your nervous system it can put the kettle back on. The gentle opposite of a trigger. I collect them, and whimsee lets me leave them for strangers to find.

hide a spark where you stand

A few words, a photo, a small secret. Planted where you stand, sealed until a stranger stands there too. Yes, exactly there. That’s the rule and the magic.

how it works, part two

follow the glow, not a pin

A glimmer shows as warmth on your screen. Brighter as you near, fainter as you drift. You go on your own legs, through the actual world. The slow walk is where the calm lives.

the opposite of a feed

Your brain notices threats first. Most apps built an economy on that. Whimsee trains the opposite muscle: spotting the good.

nothing to scroll: a map, a warm glow, a reason to go outside.
nothing to chase: no likes, no followers, nothing that sulks if you rest.
nothing from the couch: every glimmer is a real place. the couch can wait.
the light keeps changing

the season is the light

Every glimmer glows in the colour of its season. In three months this map is a different world. You wander as a nature spirit with a whimsical name, never a real one. Mine is between me and the app.

at the end of the walk, i buried one for you

It’s a real place on the trail, waiting for you to wander to it. We’re filling the world with glimmers region by region, slowly. Rushing never improved a woodland.

questions wanderers ask

honest answers only

yes, all of it. the best things on a walk usually are. we might add gentle ways to support the keepers one day, but never ads and never a feed to sell.

no. a glimmer shows as a soft warmth over an area, never a pin. you choose the spot and whimsee blurs it for everyone else.

only someone who wanders to the spot and reveals it on their phone. nothing is dug and nothing is disturbed. until then it stays sealed. even we don’t peek.

anyone can flag a glimmer, and keepers review every flag by hand. anything that breaks the quiet goes.
