screens down, wonder up

It gets learners outside, looking closely at the real world instead of a screen. It is calm by design: no feed, no scores, no nudges, nothing to win. Just noticing, wonder, and a little walking. It sits gently beside outdoor learning, wellbeing and nature connection, and it works for a forest school, a primary class or a nature and wellbeing group alike.

how it works

three steps, then a wander

  1. 1You author a trail. In our workshop, you place each glimmer on a map of your grounds and write what waits there. Order them into a walk, or scatter them to find in any order.
  2. 2The group wanders it. On a shared class or teacher device, learners follow the warm and cold to each stop. No child holds an account, and we store no personal data about them.
  3. 3They find and keep. During a session they see only your trail, never anything left by strangers. You are the one who moderates what your learners make.

built for children from the ground up

  • Children hold no accounts and we store no personal data about them. The school is the data controller.
  • During a session, only your trail is visible. No stranger content appears.
  • No private messaging anywhere in Whimsee, so no one can privately contact a child.
  • Location is always a fuzzed warm-zone, never an exact point, never stored.
