dew on everything, first thing
a toadstool that was not there yesterday
something rustling that is not the wind
a feather worth keeping
one flower still going in the heat
clover you stopped to check
the first star, before bed
a stream lower than it should be
a tree already dropping things
half of these will be gone by the end of the month, which is the only reason to hurry. the other half will still be there next year.
